Born and raised in country NSW, Sam went to St Ignatius College, Riverview and commenced his career in real estate in 2010. Sam has already amassed a long list of impressive achievements that prove he is an astute and dedicated sales agent at the top of his game. Sam studied HR and marketing prior to commencing his journey into the property industry, and has since worked in property management, leasing and sales in some of Sydney’s best regarded real estate agencies. Dear Sam, A very big thank you to you and the team. On first meeting with you Dan, and I were a little shocked that we could be putting our biggest decision of our lives to date in the hands of someone so young. Within about ten minutes we were both at ease. I think we had both made our decision there and then. Initially the most impressive thing for us was the way you explained absolutely everything, from the timing of marketing, the sales pitch, auction or private sale, settlement options and of course your fee. The examples you gave of past sales and situations made it very clear that an auction would be our best approach for a successful sale in the time frame we needed. The auction process was in a way exciting, we had our marketing calendar, we knew where and when the marketing would take place. We could predict almost to the hour when you were going to call and update us with good or the occasional stern word and at no stage did things feel out of control. The big auction day. It would be a lie if we told you we weren’t at all nervous. In saying that we felt as though we already knew who the buyer was from the offers and amount of times they came and inspected the place. Despite this you insisted with the interest we had, that on the day was the best time to push. We both still laugh about the bid that got us over the reserve. We were ecstatic and it was well beyond what we, our friends and certainly the other two agents thought we could ever achieve. At this point Dan and I were smiling from ear to ear and hiding no emotion. You on the other hand were furious. You took us both outside and firmly said something like “Do you want them to think they are paying too much or do you want them to continue bidding and pay for your marketing and me. Remember I’m not cheap” Some fifteen minutes later you came back and asked us to look at you seriously and nod and again you took off. Here we were more than confused before the auctioneer said an increase of $100,000. You came back and said “That’s as far as we can go, are you happy?” It was these tactics and raw negotiation that still really stand out. We had never thought how important a top agent could be. $225,000 over an ambitious reserve. It’s very safe to say we are happy. Your hard work and total professionalism made it a complete pleasure to work with you. You have made us both want to sell again. We won’t hesitate to tell anyone what a wonderful job you do.
